A series which investigates the relationship between sculpture and tapestry weaving. Weavers, like sculptors, create in three-dimensions: constructing their canvas at the same time as adorning its surface.
These tapestries respond to sculptures in the garden of Barbara Hepworth’s studio in St Ives, Cornwall. Within their simplicity of design, these pieces aims to translate the feeling and movement of the sculptures, and the variegated surfaces created by Hepworth.
