about me
I am a tapestry weaver based in Cornwall, England. I inherited a family passion for weaving and learned to weave in my early years. My childhood was spent dancing back and forth between Poland and the American Midwest, surrounded by strong weaving traditions in both landscapes. My love for this meditative art form was rekindled when I traded in city life for the sea.
My inspiration comes from natural landscapes, history and folklore. I am fascinated by the stories and meanings held by physical places, and the sea in all of its forms.
Weavers are sculptors and painters both. This rich tactile nature is at the heart of my work: each piece explores the expressive potential of the woven form. I begin with an idea, which is translated into a series of sketches and colour samples. I find that weaving is an intuitive process and each piece evolves organically on the loom.
I am a member of the American Tapestry Alliance and the British Tapestry Group. In 2023, I was awarded the ATA Painter/Brown Scholarship and am currently studying at West Dean.

my process
I design bespoke rugs and tapestries, which I hand-weave on upright analog looms at my studio in Cornwall. Alongside my bespoke work, I create unique tapestries on commission for private clients. I also source and curate a collection of vintage tapestries and fibre art, specialising in folk art and home decor from Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Sustainability and the preservation of cultural heritage are both close to my heart. I work with traditional weaving techniques and natural materials, sourcing wool locally in Cornwall where possible. I am developing a dyer’s garden and incorporating hand-dyed materials into my work.
the studio
My studio is based in Cornwall, the western-most tip of England, which in Roman times was believed to be Finis Terrae – the end of the world. This peninsula has a long history of fostering artists and craftsmanship along its coastal shores. Its enduring allure has inspired countless artworks and continues to attract visitors in growing numbers each year.
Cornwall is not only my home but also a source of inspiration, bringing stories and legends that captivate imaginations.
My studio is part of the creative community at Krowji in Redruth. Visitors are welcome by prior appointment.
